Their cradle was at the “Kiez” in Hamburg – and in St. Pauli they speeded up for the first time in 1994. Since then, OHRENFEINDT has not taken the foot off the pedal. These three rockers from the legendary “Reeperbahn” toured with the krautrockers BIRTH CONTROL, with POPA CHUBBY from New York, the Australians ROSE TATTOO, the Scotsmen NAZARETH, with TORFROCK and the German punk icons DIE TOTEN HOSEN.
What they have to say, OHRENFEINDT says it in German. Their songs are about stories describing life, about love, falling down and rising again, about rock and about roll. They wrap their lyrics with mouth harp, bottleneck guitar, with fat riffs, a thundering rhythm section and a rough, hoarse chant. Straight. Without frills. “Harley-luja” is the only song in German language on the sampler “100 years of Harley Davidson”, alongside big names like DORO, JUDAS PRIEST and UFO.
Clear announcements will also be made by OHRENFEINDT at the RockFels open air festival on Loreley – songs from the 2015 album “Motor an!” They play music that aims for the belly, for the legs and perhaps also beams into the head.
